We provide a range of SaaS solutions that enable flexible workspace operators to both automate workflow and maximise sales & marketing distribution to resellers. You will be a key asset to Valve’s early go-to-market efforts by providing generalist financial support in direct collaboration with the Finance Director.
What will keep you challenged:
  • Primarily responsible for Accounts Payables & Receivables (raise sales invoices/bills, process payments & staff expense claims, chase any receivables due etc.)
  • Responsibility for daily bookkeeping and bank reconciliations, Accruals & Prepayments schedules and ensuring balance sheets account are up-to-date
  • Preparing weekly cashflow updates & flash forecasts, and create cost reports with variance analysis
  • Create and manage billing processes and emails on a day-to-day basis (replying to emails, putting invoices in Xero etc.)
  • Assisting with monthly Management Accounts, quarterly VAT filings, cost benefit and budget analysis, and preparation of Financial KPIs for monthly/ quarterly Board meetings
  • Support monthly payroll and manage payroll changes
  • Assisting during preparation of forecasts/ budgets and participating in preparation of annual/ year-end financial accounts & audits
  • Support company staff with any payment/ billing related queries and manage filing of Financial, Legal, HR documents in an organised manner
Which skills/traits contribute to your success?
  • Minimum 2 years work experience as a Finance Assistant/ Accounts Assistant / Finance Junior or similar
  • Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures. Knowledge of VAT filings, Accruals & Prepayments would be beneficial
  • Excellent numerical skills with advanced knowledge of MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions). Knowledge of Google Sheets would be beneficial
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Xero) and expense system would be beneficial, as well as Salesforce
  • Organisational and time-management prowess with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a scaling Startup environment
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
