Your new role:

You will have the opportunity to hone your skills by working with both flexible workspace operators and traditional real estate brokers; expanding accounts with Valve’s suite of sales & marketing technology solutions. We provide a range of SaaS solutions that enable flexible workspace operators to both automate workflows and maximise sales & marketing distribution to resellers. You will be a key asset to Valve’s early go-to-market efforts by providing generalist financial support and expertise within our business. Tech stack: Xero and Salesforce with a few peripheral systems for the UK and US.

What will keep you challenged:
  • Be the first hire into the financial department with support from and coordination with external accounting and tax specialist practices
  • Reliable and trusted oversight of accounts receivable and payable
  • Prepare monthly and yearly financial reports for investor and company updates
  • Financial modeling, budgeting, planning, monitoring and analysis
  • Designing, implementing and overseeing financial and controlling company policies
  • Manage team payroll, expenses and other one off opex/capex investments
Which skills/traits contribute to your success?
  • Successfully completed degree in business administration, ideally with a focus on controlling, finance or a comparable training
  • Work experience in the areas of controlling and finance
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel - you’re able to whip up different growth models
  • Demonstrable understanding or existing experience in SaaS and Startup business metrics
  • Passionate and curious about all the levers, cogs and mechanics of a business model 
  • Proponent of personal growth as a route to your career growth and ideally, you have the ambition to be a CEO, COO, CFO
  • Good stakeholder and communication skills in English
Please note that we are looking for support in our London office. Eligibility to work within the UK is required as well.
